McDavid is the official Medical Partner of A.S. Volley Cucine Lube for the next three seasons. Sports medicine and sports protection are the core business of the American brand with European Headquarters in Belgium. Since the beginning of September, Cucine LUBE players are equipped with protection sleeves, compression socks, protective underwear and more from the brand McDavid.

Sports medicine is an important topic for Cucine LUBE with the aim to protect the players during the training and in the game, but also to support them while they recover. Due to the cooperation, protective sleeves and underwear, braces and tape will now be delivered by McDavid. The products of the brand meet the high demands of players and offer innovative comfort: the new ankle braces of the PHANTOM Line, for example, are up to 33% lighter than comparable products.

Volleyball is a the key sports of McDavid, the volleyball knee pads are one of the most known knee protection pads amongst volleyball players worldwide. Associazione Sportiva Volley Cucine Lube is a professional volleyball team based in Treia, Italy. Since 1995 the club has been playing in the Serie A of the Italian Volleyball League. It won the Italian Championship five times, the Italian Cup five times, and the Italian SuperCup three-times. At European level, Lube won two CEV Champions League in 2002 and 2019, the CEV Cup in 2001, 2005, 2006 and a CEV Challenge Cup 2011. In 2019 it won the FIVB Men’s Club World Volleyball Championship.
